Sail the Heart of

The Norwegian Fjords

DAY 1

ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

Our journey begins in Rotterdam, a city that wears its bold, modern spirit with pride. Rebuilt with imagination after the Second World War, it has become a showcase of striking contemporary architecture — from the whimsical yellow Cube Houses to the soaring Erasmus Bridge and the vibrant, art-filled Markthal. Unlike the storybook canals of its neighbors, Rotterdam offers a fresh, forward-looking welcome, with lively waterfront cafés and a creative energy that sets the tone for the adventure ahead.

DAY 3

EIDFJORD, NORWAY

August 10, 2027 — Scenic cruising through Hardangerfjord

  • AM Knitting Workshops

Nestled at the innermost reach of the magnificent Hardangerfjord, the tiny village of Eidfjord is surrounded by some of Norway’s most dramatic scenery. Blossoming orchards give way to steep mountain walls, and the thundering Vøringsfossen — one of the country’s most famous waterfalls — plunges from the wild Hardangervidda plateau above. As we cruise deep into the fjord, cascading waters and mirror-still reflections make this a morning of pure enchantment, perfect for knitting with a view.

DAY 4

HELLESYLT, NORWAY

August 11, 2027 — Scenic cruising through Storfjorden

Tucked along the winding arms of the Storfjorden, the peaceful hamlet of Hellesylt greets us with its rushing central waterfall tumbling straight through the heart of the village. This is the gateway to the legendary Geirangerfjord and its cliffs and cascades, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape of breathtaking beauty. Sheer green slopes, hidden farmsteads and quiet fjord waters surround us — an idyllic setting to share stories and stitches.

DAY 5

ÅLESUND, NORWAY

August 12, 2027

A quaint fishing town in western Norway, Ålesund is unlike anywhere else on the coast. After a great fire in 1904, the town was rebuilt in the elegant Art Nouveau style, and today its colorful buildings feature turrets and spires with intricate facades of ornamental flowers, gargoyles and Viking-inspired decorations. Climb Mount Aksla for a sweeping panorama of islands and peaks, or wander the harbor lanes. Ålesund offers great hiking, mountain biking and kayaking amid unforgettable scenery.

DAY 6

BERGEN, NORWAY

August 13, 2027

Often called the gateway to the fjords, Bergen charms with its blend of history and coastal beauty. The colorful wooden merchant houses of Bryggen — a UNESCO World Heritage site — line the old Hanseatic wharf, while the bustling fish market brims with local flavor. Ride the Fløibanen funicular for a magnificent view over the city and its seven surrounding mountains. With cobbled streets, cozy cafés and a welcoming charm, Bergen invites us to linger, explore and knit a little of its warmth into our travels.
